如果你的手机有能和电脑连接的数据线，如果你用的操作系统是Windows XP，那么你就可以在电脑上输入短信并且发送了。
在Windows XP中发短信要用到的“SMS Sender”软件，它是Windows XP 的一个附加组件。跟普通发送短信的软件不同，“SMS Sender”只是为用户提供一种键入短消息的平台，而这些短消息还是通过手机来传输的，下面我们就一起来看看如何使用这款软件吧。
首先要到微软的主页下载安装这个组件（地址：http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=zh-cn&&FamilyID=06A4F997-7F69-4891-8929-37B9041924A2），大小为766 KB。要注意，这个组件只针对Windows XP用户，其他Windows系统的用户并不能使用。组件安装完之后，我们再把手机连接到电脑上（仅限于是GMS手机用户，其他的手机并不能使用这个程序），每款手机连接的方式都不相同，这个自己看着办，很容易的。
“SMS Sender”的操作界面很简单，你只需输入对方的手机号码和短信内容就可以进行发送。每次可以输入160个字节，相当于80个汉字。如果你有很多朋友的话，还可以在“SMS Sender”建立电话本。但是，目前“SMS Sender”只支持标准的 SMS，还不支持彩信（MMS），而且不允许群发短信。

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
