尝试过在伸手不见五指的环境中进食吗？这点子最早于2004年7月14日诞生于法国，法国国庆的日子，立刻受到媒体的关注，人们纷纷前来尝试，连法国总统希拉克也前去造访。
黑暗餐馆（Dans le Noir?）就在巴黎蓬皮杜艺术中心广场对面一条小街上，餐厅的特色是里面一丝光亮都没有，侍应生全是盲人。它打出的广告语是“美食新体验”、“感官新经历”、“法国独此一家”。餐厅的老板是法国人，名叫爱德华·德布罗格利。2006年2月，伦敦店“黑暗餐厅”开张。

黑暗餐厅的吧台与寻常酒吧无异。墙上黑板写着当日菜单：４样冷盘、５样主菜和４种甜点任人挑选，还可以点“悬念套餐”，有全版和简版两种，分别为３７欧元和２９欧元。这是巴黎闹市区中档餐馆的正常价位。
这种黑暗餐厅开设的初衷是让顾客忽略食物的样子而专心体会食物的味道，但是从黑暗中走出的人们似乎没有谁把注意力放在食物的味道上。大家津津乐道的都是摸黑吃饭这种奇特的感受。
巴黎黑暗餐厅的晚餐提供比较常规的餐饮，午餐则有“禅意套餐”、“按摩套餐”、“概念套餐”等新花样。
餐厅还与公司、企业合作。如有公司希望举行别出心裁的新闻发布、研讨活动或团队精神拓展训练，提前３个月联络餐厅可租赁整个场地，餐厅还为他们提供特制服务项目。
餐厅真容从不示人
餐厅只在打扫卫生时亮灯，而且从不对外人开放。因为如果有外人知道餐厅里面的模样，那餐厅迟早会丧失它的神秘感。
黑暗餐厅只有安全方面的投入大于普通餐厅。为了确保安全，黑暗餐厅内设有全方位的红外线录像检测仪、独特的照明应急设备和更便捷的紧急出口，而这些都需经政府监管部门严格审批。
餐馆主人说：“长时间在黑暗餐厅内用餐后，顾客的感官变得越来越敏锐。他们的嗅觉变得极为灵敏，他们的触觉也提高了很多。在黑暗中就餐，顾客肯定会遇到不少问题，但顾客们承认，之所以来此进餐，吃的就是一份稀奇，“在黑暗中用餐是难得的体验”。

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
